[ BIOGRAPHY ]

Stories shaped by place, people and truth.

Pierre-Emmanuel Delétrée is a French filmmaker and photographer based in Tokyo. For more than fifteen years, he has created visual stories across Europe and Asia, combining a documentary sensibility with a precise, cinematic approach.

His work moves between documentary, current affairs, editorial storytelling and brand films. Whether following a developing news story, filming an intimate portrait or shaping a commercial production, he looks for images that feel immediate, honest and deeply human.

Living and working in Japan gives him both an international perspective and a close understanding of the country’s culture, visual language and production environment. He works comfortably with international teams and local crews, adapting his approach to the scale and rhythm of each project.

His clients include international broadcasters, editorial platforms and global brands such as BBC, ARTE, France TV, TF1, Netflix, NBC Sports, Crunchyroll, France 24, Pernod Ricard and Celine.
